Covid-19 Policy
The safety of both our clients and staff is extremely important to us, so we have put together some useful information that will help us all minimise the risk of Covid -19
As we approach the winter we may need to make changes to these guidelines and we will update this page accordingly.
We ask that you familiarise yourself with this information before attending our classes.
Updated – 12th September 2022
1. Illness
We ask that if you are feeling unwell in any way at all, that you do NOT attend your class. We also ask that if you have been diagnosed with Covid 19 that you allow the correct amount of time before returning to classes. (See NHS Link below) Whilst there is no longer a legal requirement to isolate, it is essential that to keep everyone safe and to allow the classes to continue that we all follow the up to date advise from the NHS. You can find their up to date advice and guidance here: NHS Coronavirus Information
2. Health Forms
We want to make sure that we have your up to date information as we haven’t seen you in a while. Please complete an updated Health Form (this can be downloaded below) so we can make sure nothing has changed since we last saw you. If you think there’s anything important we need to know that might affect you being able to take part in classes, please contact us via email before booking to arrange a call.
Please print and complete this form to bring to your first class. A copy can also be found on your booking confirmation email.
Health Form – June 21
3. Equipment
We now have a limited number of wipeable head blocks that we can provide in some circumstances but we still ask that all clients bring their own mats and head-blocks for use during the classes. This is due to the cleaning that is required between classes.
We suggest bringing a few small hand towels as a good option to support your head.
We ask that you clean your mat before and after use and do don’t share any equipment with anyone during the session.
We have reintroduced the use of some small pieces of equipment, where these can be sanitised in between each class. You are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer or do the exercises without.
4. Face Coverings
It is no longer mandatory for Health Professionals to wear face coverings in a community setting. If you would prefer for us to wear a face covering when helping with positioning and giving feedback to you during the class please let us know and we will be happy to wear one.
5. Hand Sanitising and Washing
We will have hand sanitiser at the entrance and exit of the buildings. Please continue to sanitise your hands before entering and leaving the class and after using the toilets. We will continue to regularly sanitise our hands and equipment during the classes.
6. Social Distancing
We have now re-assessed the hall size and the number of clients that we are able to comfortably have in the hall, whilst still ensuring adequate space for everyone. Over the next few weeks we will be making a few changes to the layout of the mats in the hall to allow spacing and to ensure everyone can see. Please bear with us whilst we all get used to these changes.
7. Timing of Classes
We will continue to allow 15 minutes between classes to allow for ventilation and class change over.
8. Cleaning Routine
All the halls will continued to be cleaned regularly by the hall owners in line with their own policies. In addition to this we will ensure that all the touch points, are sanitised regularly.
9. Paying for Classes
We have made the decision that we will no longer accept cash payments. In addition, as we are no longer operating in our own clinic, we are unfortunately unable to accept in-person card payments.
All bookings and payments MUST be made using our online booking system via card. Bacs payments may be accepted in exceptional circumstances only. (Please contact us)
10. Entering and Leaving the Venues
We will continue to operate a one way system in all our venues. We ask that you allow the previous class to leave the hall first. With this in mind please can we ask that you leave the hall as soon as the class has finished and not to congregate in the hall.
Shirley Institute:
Please enter using the side door from the car park and exit through the main door at the end of the hall. You will then be able to walk back around to the carpark.
11. Contact Details
Please ensure that we have your up to date contact details and make us aware of any changes to these whilst attending classes. Although this is not currently required, by attending classes you are consenting to us passing on your Name, Email Address and Phone Number to NHS track and trace, should we be required to do so in the future.
